Event – Participation Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. General Terms
Tickets purchased for the FAME Symposium 2025, organized at Tampere University, are subject to the following cancellation and refund conditions. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to this policy.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the organizer reserves the right to approve or decline refund requests depending on the circumstances.
- Requests made after 7 days from purchase may not be eligible for a refund, except in exceptional situations (e.g., medical emergencies), at the organizer’s discretion.
3. How to Request a Cancellation

Include your full name, ticket number (if applicable), and a short explanation for your request.
4. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method through Paytrail.
- Please allow 7–14 business days for the refund to be processed, depending on your bank or card provider.
- If a refund cannot be processed directly (e.g., expired card or certain bank limitations), you will receive an email with instructions to submit your IBAN for manual processing.
5. Event Cancellations or Changes
- If the event is cancelled by the organizer, a full refund will be issued automatically to all ticket holders.
- If the event is rescheduled or modified significantly (e.g., change of venue or format), attendees will be informed and given the option to:
- Keep their ticket for the new date or format, or
- Request a full refund within 14 days of the change notice.
6. Force Majeure
The organizer shall not be liable for any cancellation or changes due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or government restrictions. In such cases, partial refunds may be considered but are not guaranteed.
