In my current role I’m working also a consultative tasks for our customers in business case creations and value analysis in AM. I’m thrilled to be able to work in a field of AM with the enthusiastic engineers. In my role as a Chairman of The Management board I’m trying to give the best guidance to the excellent FAME team and boost the AM improvements in Finland.
Experience of 20+ years at Wärtsilä in different roles from supply management, quality, production and project management. Key theme has been driving change and building networks of collaboration. Current responsibilities include manufacturing ecosystems at Wärtsilä with additive manufacturing being an integral part of it. Gearing up additive manufacturing successfully is about challenging status quo thus driving change with a network approach. This creates very dynamic and interesting environment to collaborate in FAME.
AM is close to my heart for creating optimized parts and structures to save weight and energy. As a manager of Machinery & Equipment department my goal is to increase our ability to find better solutions to our customers’ engineering challenges.
I am experienced technology leader with demonstrated history of working in the process technology industry. In my current position as a Vice President, Research and Development, I am accountable for all R&D across Valmet, continuing to develop Valmet’s R&D strategy and driving its execution. In Valmet, we see the possibilities of additive manufacturing as one of the production technologies to reduce emissions and consequently the carbon footprint of the part production and complete product life cycle.
As Managing Director, I’m responsible for building up AMEXCI’s capacity and competencies in Finland and integrating our operations to AMEXCI group activities. Our mission is to futureproof our Nordic industries. AMEXCI, together with its customers, develops a new generation of products where AM acts as an enabler for higher competitiveness and more sustainable production. Furthermore, AMEXCI offers a range of trainings and workshops to build successful business cases. We are member of FAME because AMEXCI believes in co-development, and we want to help Finnish industry to thrive with Additive Manufacturing.
I’m currently leading pallet automation business at Fastems. My background is from production and have been working several management and development positions. Our passion is in manufacturing and automating of it in a way that we could provide customers annually 8760 hours – hours of the year. We see that AM will be one of key technologies which will transform manufacturing in next coming years especially when integrated with automation.
I’m responsible for Nastola R&D team managing, invention, patent and IPR operations.
I work as a Manager, Engineering Analysis in Valmet Flow Control. I’ve been involved in LPBF metal 3D-printing since 2017 in various R&D projects. Projects have been related to design improvements in valves, design for AM and topology optimization.
My work includes designing the mechanical parts of the systems that are mostly related to robotics. Due to varying customer needs each case is quite unique with tailored solutions.
I have been working at Elomatic since November 2018 as a Senior Structural Analyst, Technical Analysis. Elomatic purchased FS Dynamics Finland, where I worked since March 2011 as a Senior Engineer, Structural Dynamics. The main topics have been structural static and dynamic analyses of metals and partly also composite structures. Before moving to consultancy services, I worked at Patria as a stress and verification engineer (1998-2011). The main projects were related to space programs and aircraft parts verification by analysis. I made my Tech.Lic. degree about the laminated composites in 2014. Since my graduation to MSc in 1991 at Tampere University of Technology, I worked as a teaching assistant in Applied Mechanics until 1998.
Sales and managing of AM related projects in customer interface. I am one of the founders of Etteplan’s AMO team and lead trainer in AM trainings provided. Co-development of Etteplan’s AM actions to being the best performing design-for-additive-manufacturing machine.
I am currently People Lead of EOS oy Technology Vertical team, which is responsible for technology development of EOS metal materials, processes and solutions. I have 26 years work experience in EOS AM manufacturing systems, processes, metal materials and powders. I have knowhow and experience on product development, laser powder bed fusion, metallurgy, metals post processing (heat treatments), project management, statistical methods, leadership and management. My educational background is MSc in Materials Engineering & Science (Metals) from Tampere University of Technology.
I am currently a Manufacturing Engineer at Ponsse Plc. Main responsibilities are cabin assembly and wiring harness production development. First touch in 3D printing back in 2015, since then hardcore enthusiast and AM specialist at Ponsse.
I am currently working as AM Specialist at AMEXCI Oy in Tampere. I am responsible for the production facility with metal L-PBF. I have studied in Aalto University and previously worked with metal AM on tool manufacturing.
I work at Patria’s Aeronautical Engineering & Avionics department in various aviation related design projects performing and coordinating mechanical design tasks. I am also responsible for building up the additive manufacturing design, certification and manufacturing capabilities. I perform AM-tasks together with other AM-team members.
I am materials science engineer with solid expertise in material testing of metallic components. Current focus areas consist of failure analysis and material characterization of different parts.
I’m responsible for management and development of sales and customer service funcions at 3D Formtech.
I work as an Innovation Expert (Additive Manufacturing) in Manufacturing Excellence in Wärtsilä, leading our WHAM (Wärtsilä Hub for Additive Manufacturing) tribe, and as the Chairman of the Advisory Board in FAME. I believe that only by doing we can show the different stakeholders why and how Additive can be utilized for creating better.
I’m working as an Additive Manufacturing Manager at ANDRITZ Savonlinna Works Oy focusing on large scale AM with WAAM technology. My interest towards AM arose while studying at LUT University, which led me to this role through Thesis Worker and Development Engineer vacancies.
I am mechanical engineer specialized to 3D-machine- and device design. Experience from marine engine design (mainly fuel-, exhaust gas- and charge air system including calculation, modelling and drafting). Extensive knowledge from Siemens CAD- and PLM software.
